How do I choose a different book style?

Picaboo offers two different Book Styles for you to choose from. Below outlines the differences between the two.  

1. Custom Classic Photobooks

• Traditional page binding. Our Classic books are "perfect-bound", similar to a paperback book. This means that you'll want to ensure that there are no important details such as faces or text directly in the middle of the pages.

• 100 lb paper

• Available with hard cover or soft cover

2. Seamless Lay-Flat Photobooks

• Pages lay flat with seamless binding for uninterrupted photos across the spread of both pages.
• Up to 100 double thick  premium pages.
•  The pages are thicker and more rigid than the pages on our other photo books.

To choose a different book style for a book you have begun editing follow the steps below :

1. Open your book by clicking on it in your My Project Library, and then selecting Edit.
2. Be sure you are viewing the cover of the book. (if you are on an inside page of your book this option will not be available, it is only available when you are viewing the cover of the book)
3. Click the Book Style button on the left of the program window.
4. Click on the style that you want within the popup menu that appears.

Note: Before you change style it's important to note, the contents of your book will remain the same, however, the existing cover will need to be recreated as different book styles have different wrapping areas. If you have already created your cover, we recommend taking a screenshot for reference before changing styles so you're able to have a visual for recreating it.

Ratio Note: When you first start a book, you're prompted to select either Landscape or Square format. Due to the differing aspect ratios, it is not possible to switch a Square book to Landscape, or vice versa. The only way to create a Landscape version of the book so that you can select a different book style is to create a brand new project.
